Assist in reviewing standards, implementing plans to meet those standards and following all record keeping requirementsĪssist the Director of Corporate Safety in preparing for budget and work plans, proposals and provide recommendations in compliance with directions issued by the finance department, including analyzing past expenditures to determine needs complies with cooperative purchasing procedures and assist with implementation within the departmentĪssist in ordering all safety related personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms.

Assist with maintaining and updating the safety manual to conform to established federal, state, and local safety laws and regulationsĬoordinate and audit to regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, state and federal agency regulations through reporting and investigations for the prevention of citations and/or penalties due to compliance infractions. Prepares and files all safety reports and forms. Prepares monthly reports on status of safety report and deliver information to the Director of Corporate Safety.
Participates in Safety Committee meetings. Is responsible to see that necessary recommendations are followed through in a timely manner with a management-approved corrective course of action Makes recommendations as to policies, procedures and equipment that would correct deficiencies and therefore be in compliance with rules and standards. Identify the Cooperative and contracted utilities’ policies and practices that deviate from any established federal, state and local safety laws and regulations. Responsible for enforcement of safety rules and regulations to ensure all contractors, employees, members and Board of Directors are following all Cooperative safety precautions and guidelines. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Corporate Safety in maintaining a safe work environment and providing the training needed to all personnel within the scope of his/her training and certification in a safe and efficient manner within accepted operations standards.
